Overview
The Galant is a competent midsize sedan that offers high level safety along with great looks, comfort and impressive performance. The 2010 Mitsubishi Galant has more standard features, more technology and more creature comforts. It is available in two well equipped trims - ES and the new SE.
Power and performance
A revised 160-hp 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder engine, teamed with a standard four-speed Sportronic automatic transmission, supplies power to both Galant ES and SE models. The already efficient engine has now been further refined to deliver a refined highway fuel economy rating of 30 MPG.
Body and styling
Every Galant model includes auto-off halogen headlamps with black bezels, stylish mesh front grille, power side-view mirrors, windows and door locks, CD/MP3 audio system, auxiliary input jack and cruise control.
The Galant SE is a new model with premium features like 18-inch alloy wheels, 650-watt (max) Rockford Acoustic Design audio system, SIRIUS Satellite Radio with three months pre-paid subscription, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, sport fabric upholstery, automatic climate control system, sport-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, Blackwood or Brownwood trim on dash and console and Bluetooth Hands-free phone system. The Navigation & Rear Camera package that adds a 7-inch LCD touch panel Mitsubishi multi communication system with DVD-based navigation is standard.
Safety Features
Both Galant ES and SE are equipped with a high level of safety technology, including anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), traction control (TCL) and Active Stability Control (ASC). An engine immobilizer and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), dual-stage front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and side front and rear curtain airbags are also standard.
